Scott is a HUGE vinyl collector, and so our vinyl releases have always reflected his love of the format. As he says, "If you are committing it to vinyl, you have to make sure you do it well! It's a format that demands respect."

In April 2013 we released our first fan-funded vinyl 7" single for National Record Store Day 2013 - THE TARNLIFE EP (now all sadly sold out) which was limited to just 200 copies.

After the runaway success of this first venture into independent crowdfunding projects, we embarked on a second pledge campaign and managed to create BESTEST BITS - a strictly limited edition Greatest Hits package packed with 12 inches of Bar-Steward love. Released in December 2013, the full-length 180 gram transparent red vinyl release also contained literally hours of exclusive downloadable content and an individually hand-numbered art print by Barnsley pop artist, Terry Brookes. (All copies of Bestest Bits are now also sold out)

This was followed up with BESTEST BITS VOL. II in 2014 which was also successfully crowd-funded, and also on 180g red transparent vinyl, packed with stacks of downloadable content and also featuring a comic-book complete with 3D glasses (also created by Terry Brookes). (All copies of Bestest Bits II are now also sold out)

SCOTT DOONICAN'S BIG 7" was released at the same time as BESTEST BITS VOL. II, and features an acoustic version of 'Massage In A Brothel' and a somewhat surreal cover of David Bowie's 'The Man Who Sold The World'.

These were folowed in 2015 by THE DEVIL WENT DARN TO BARNSLEY single featuring special guests, Mike Harding (as The Devil), Eliza Carthy, the late, great Maartin Allcock, and Graham Oliver from Saxon, plus artwork from Jeremy Cunningham from the Levellers.

Our double A-side, THE BIG PINK 7" was released on neon pink vinyl, in May 2018, with artwork also created by Jeremy.

THE BAR-STEWARD SONS OF VAL DOONICAN 2008-2018 has also been successfully crowdfunded. It is the first Doonicans vinyl release to have also been released on CD and cassette (a strictly limited edition of a mere 20 cassette versions of the album exist somewhere in the world!). The double disc gatefold features artwork from Barnsley-based artist Lewis Ryan.

Our double gatefold pink vinyl LP release of AVALON CALLING was recorded live at Glastonbury Festival 2019 and released in 2021, after another successful crowdfunded. Click the cover to buy one from our online merchandise shop.

In 2023, Scott released his first vinyl live double-album SOUP which was created as part of the Leap Of Faith III project. This was released on double green vinyl and packed with a host of extra goodies including art-prints, recipe books, vinyl stickers, postcards and more.
